Pre-member

Contract Member

Pre-member (mandatory)

  • To qualify you must audition and have been accepted into The Collaborative.

  • Pre-members have six months from the month of acceptance to complete their 3 month active trial. (3 months do not have to be consecutive)

  • To be an active Pre-member (participating in monthly classes) you must have successfully nabbed a active spot for a given month.

  • Active Pre-member participation is on a month to month basis based on availability (spots are never guaranteed)

  • Active Pre-members for the month receive:

    • All the class benefits of Contract Members (with exception of occasional exclusive events)

    • Access to the private FB Community

    • Access to the current monthly calendar

  • Non-Active Pre-members for their 6 months have:

    • Access to the private FB Community

    • Access to their profile page, class history and billing.

    • No access to the monthly class calendar.

  • Active Pre-members do NOT receive:

    • Access to studio or office space for personal use

    • Access to production insurance

    • Voting rights

  • At the completion of active Pre-membership (3 active months during 6 month trial) artist will be invited to join as a Contract Member.

  • Monthly dues for active Pre-members: $140 (subject to change)

Contract Member

  • To qualify you must:

    • Have been an active Pre-member for 3 months in good standing. (Does not have to be consecutive)

    • Sign a year Contract

  • Access to monthly classes, events and meetings

  • Access to the studio and office for personal use via TeamUP calendar

  • Access to private FB Community

  • Access to Production Insurance for projects

  • Opportunity to apply for Financial Leave of Absence (Based on availability. Rules apply)

  • Voting rights

  • Ability to run for office* or join and lead committees

  • Opportunity to develop and foster new classes/events/initiatives for The Collaborative

  • Monthly dues for Contract Members: $120 (subject to change)

*Contract Members in good standing may run for the Board of Directors after completing six full months of contract membership. The Collaborative holds its annual election in June, beginning with statements of intent and concluding with a secret ballot vote. Members who sign contracts between June and December become eligible to run in the following year’s election cycle. Those who sign contracts between January and May must wait until the subsequent year to run. In exceptional cases, the Board may waive the six-month membership requirement at its discretion. To request a waiver, a member must submit a detailed letter explaining their desire to run and the reasons they believe the requirement should be waived.

Alumni Member

  • To qualify you must:

    • Be a prior member for at least 4 years in good standing.

    • Sign a year Contract

  • Access to:

    • Skills Classes

    • Special Events

    • Q&A’s of Special Guests

    • Meetings and Social Events

    • Production Insurance

    • FB Community

    • Access to Office for personal use ONLY thru TeamUp Calendar

  • Alumni Members do NOT have access to:

    • Any other casting/industry professional participatory classes

    • Studio space for personal use

  • Monthly dues for Alumni members: $25 a month OR $250 for the year (subject to change)

The Collaborative is a non-profit educational institution. Our classes are not job interviews or auditions. The presence of a casting director or agent is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment, an audition or representation. All casting director companies are prohibited by law from offering or attempting to obtain auditions, representation or employment for you.

Classes taught by CSA professionals and our other guests are a learning experience for our members. When the class is over, guests will not be taking home nor be given access to your headshot, resume or any other of your promotional materials.
